Sunday!

An early start at Haydock High was followed by being dropped off at the wrong terminal at Manchester!  But nothing like a brisk walk to terminal 1 to work up an appetite for a bacon butty before flying off!

Straight from the airport we headed for the Blue Lagoon Spa.  This is a spring that uses water that is heated by a geothermal power station.  It contains 70% sea water and 30% fresh water and is full of natural minerals to make the skin smooth, soft and glowing.  In the lagoon we swam, floated and painted our faces with silica mud whilst the snow fell around us.  Our pupils all now look like supermodels and will be unrecognisable on return. In fact, the teachers have also changed...Mrs Shaw now resembles Kelly Brook, Mrs Roberts is now a clone of Elle McPherson and Mrs Griffths counts Cindy Crawford as an identical twin.  On the male side, Mr Rollinson is a mirror image of George Clooney and Mr Hopkins looks young enough to be Harry Styles brother.

After the spa we arrived at our hotel and unpacked, settled down and washed the salt out of our hair ready for the evening meal.  We went to a restaurant that we cannot pronounce and had a hamburger and chips.  Josh Reynolds was selected to announce the arrival of a new birth in Iceland and changed the population counter and rang the bell although he had no idea about what he was doing.

On return we saw a horrific sight of our boys in various types of animal onesies... Matty Johnston's was a particular highlight as it is a giraffe onesie complete with giraffe head.  Everyone was very tired and we think everyone was asleep by 10.30pm but we are not quite sure as us teachers were out for the count zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
